From Dunk Island you are able to take a Reef trip to the Great Barrier Reef for snorkelling and diving.

Accommodation:

160 rooms featuring air conditioning, ceiling fans, a balcony or patio, telephone, television, clock radio, refrigerator, tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryer, guest amenities, umbrellas, iron & ironing board and nearby guest laundry facilities.

Garden Rooms:  Set amongst tropical gardens, these rooms are a short stroll from the central complex, resort facilities and beach. Available with a Queen bed and Single Bed, ensuite with shower and a small outdoor patio or balcony. Family configurations are available with Queen and 2 Single Beds.

Beachfront Rooms: Situated beachside with easy access to the beach, guests can enjoy views over Brammo Bay from most rooms. Available with King and a Single Bed or family configuration with 2 Queens and a Single Day Bed. Beachcomber Restaurant:  The resort's main restaurant, specialises in fresh tropical style cuisine. A buffet breakfast is served from 6:30am to 10.00am and dinner from 6.00pm to 10.00pm and varies from a la carte to buffet.

Asian Noodle Bar: Right beside the Butterfly Pool you’ll find delicious Asian flavours from the Asian Noodle Cafe´. It’s a relaxed dining experience that includes rice, stirfry and noodle dishes. Take a seat or enjoy your noodles in a box and head beachside!.

Plantation Bar: Overlooking the beachfront pool, it' s the perfect place to soak up the rich, tropical ambience of Dunk. Open for drinks from 10.00am till late. Features nightly entertainment.

Take a dinghy to nearby Purtaboi Island, a picturesque island perfect for enjoying a gourmet beach picnic in romantic seclusion.

Take a rainforest walk to the summit of Mt Kootaloo where you will find magnificent views back over to Mission Beach and along the coastline from 250m above sea level.

Getting There:
By Air: Regular flights depart major Australian capital cities for Dunk Island via Cairns with Qantas, Jetstar, and Virgin Blue. Hinterland Aviation operates the 45 minute connecting flight between Cairns and Dunk Island twice daily. Private charter flights to Dunk Island are also available upon request.

Flights from Cairns are $240 /adult return and $120 /child return.

Transfer duration: approximately 45 mins. Check-in is 30 minutes prior to the flight departure at the Hinterland Aviation terminal. A courtesy coach transfer from the main terminal at Cairns Airport to the Hinterland Aviation terminal is provided by Sun Palm. Guests will meet the coach transfer at the Sun Palm check-in desk located in the Domestic Terminal.

Departing Cairns Airport at 12:15pm and 2:30pm
Departing Dunk Island at 9:00am and 1:15pm

By Coach/Ferry: Transfers to Dunk Island from Cairns, Northern Beaches and Port Douglas are available with Mission Beach Dunk Island Connections: These are by coach and either launch or water taxi depending on the time of travel. There are only 3 departures daily between Cairns and Dunk and Dunk and Cairns. Connecting flights need to be booked with these times in mind. Transfers depart Cairns airport at 7am, 11:30am, and 2 pm. Two transfers depart Dunk Island to connect ferry and coach to make the Cairns airport at 12:10pm and 6:10pm.
Duration is 2 hours. 

Coach and ferry transfers from Cairns to Dunk Island are $164 /adult return and $82 /child return.
