The Reef Encounter offers the best value liveaboard dive and snorkel trips from Cairns.

The Reef Encounter is a 35 metre luxury catamaran designed for the utmost stability and comfort at sea. The vessel is air-conditioned throughout with spacious decks, large dining and recreation areas. The large water platform allows for easy access into the water.

Reef Encounter offers comfortable cabins as well as gorgeous staterooms with double or twin beds, ensuites and large picture windows in the staterooms. All staterooms are located on levels one and two of the Reef Encounter.

The lounge/dining room contains all dining room facilities, a fully licensed bar and a relaxing lounge area with television and video/DVD facilities. This area is ideal to relax and socialise with the other guests after another perfect day aboard Reef Encounter. Delicious gourmet meals are prepared on board by chefs and served to your table in the dining area.

The fully equipped dive-deck is situated at the stern end of the vessel while towards the bow is an idyllic heated spa.

Level One is a fabulous deck and is used primarily to accommodate the Top Deck Club clientele.

Top Deck Club clients onboard Reef Encounter receive exclusive accommodation in a deluxe stateroom, with private ensuite bathroom. Outer Reef Locations:

The Reef Encounter offers overnight or extended dive and snorkel expeditions to the Great Barrier Reef, cruising to spectacular Reef locations. Sites visited include Hastings, Norman and Saxon Reefs. These reefs are known for their spectacular corals, exotic fish, caves and swim throughs. Each location has something special to offer and divers and snorkellers alike will be amazed by the diversity of marine life and coral on show.

Dive & Snorkel:

The Reef Encounter caters for divers of all levels of experience with a variety of diving options to choose from, all catered to your specific needs.

Certified Divers are well looked after with more reefs, more variety and less divers. All Certified diving includes mask, snorkel & fins, weights, tanks, refills, BC, and regulator.

Introductory diving is also offered and no experience is necessary.

Snorkellers will experience the fun and exhiliration of snorkelling above and amidst the beautiful array of coral and marine life on this trip. To assist you with your every need, the professional crew can assist you with snorkelling briefs and instruction as well as fully guided tours.

The large easy access hydraulic platform allows people who are disabled or with limited mobility to easily enter the water and take part in the days activities.

Transfers:

The Reef Encounter is permanently moored on the Great Barrier Reef. Transfers and returns to Reef Encounter are conducted daily via Reef Experience.

For something really special, why not arrive in style with a Heli-Transfer! Helicopter transfers are available from Cairns or Port Douglas, landing directly onboard Reef Encounter's exclusive helipad.
