Scuba Doo is easy, fun, safe and is an exciting activity to view the reef!

Suitable for non-swimmers, it offer fantastic enjoyment for the whole family.

Scuba-Dooing means no mask, no mouthpiece, no heavy weight belt or helmet and no swimming experience required. The air tank is already fixed to the Scuba-Doo, you simply sit and drive.

Comfortably seated, you will glide beneath the sea with your expert guide to discover spectacular coral gardens and marine life that the Great Barrier Reef is famous for.

Seated on your Scuba-Doo, your head and shoulders will be inside a 180 degree water free clear dome with air is constantly being replenished from a scuba tank enabling you to breathe normally throughout your tour! It is possible to wear your contact lenses or glasses with you in the water.

Itinerary:

Depart with Great Adventures on the 8:30am or 10:30am departure from Cairns.

During your cruise to the Outer Barrier Reef the well trained Scuba Doo instructor’s will conduct a short and informative briefing, demonstrating how to operate a Scuba-Doo, hand signals and safety points. Your adventure time will be allocated prior to arriving at the pontoon.

Your adventure tour will begin at a depth of 4 metres, departing from the pontoon you will make your way over to the Coral Reef where you will meet some fascinating marine life.

Say hello to Wally our resident Maori Wrasse, have a memorable once in a life time photograph under the Sea, view the amazing Coral Reef structures that make up the Great Barrier Reef and is home to over 1500 different marine fish.

This Underwater experience will take approximately 20 minutes to return back to the pontoon.

The fully guided tour allows you to cruise the Coral Reef at a speed of 2.5 knots without tanks, weights or mask, there is no swimming involved and your head and shoulders will remain dry inside the 180 degree viewing dome of the Scuba-Doo.20 minute guided tour.

Departing the Great Barrier Reef Pontoon for your journey back to Cairns, passengers can view, purchase and collect photos taken throughout the day from the Indepth photo counter on board the boat.

Reminders:

• 5mm wetsuits are available for hire (recommended in the winter)
• No swimming experience necessary
• Glasses and contact lenses are allowed to wear underwater
• Minimum age 12 years old

Please Note:

Anyone over the age of twelve can ride Scuba-Doo. No swimming experience is required and no matter how old you are, everyone is invited to join the amazing reef experience. If you are under the age of 18, a consent form will be required.

Scuba-Doo operates under strict Australian and Queensland health and safety policies and guidelines for scuba diving. Unfortunately sometimes we have to decline customers due to certain pre/existing medical conditions. The Scuba-Doo adventure is dependent on a medical questionnaire being completed on board prior to the start of the briefing.
