MV POSEIDON III, is an ultra modern 24 metre, high speed luxury catamaran. The vessel was designed and built by the owner, with over 20 years of local knowledge and experience, specifically for this type of reef trip.

Poseidon has been awarded one of the few permits to swim with Dwarf Minke Whales. These friendly mammals are regularly encountered from May to August, while their larger cousins, the Humpback Whales appear from July to September.

With a top speed of 30 knots, Poseidon offers a faster, more comfortable trip, whereby snorkellers and scuba divers can enjoy up to three spectacular unspoilt Outer Reef locations, at exclusive company moorings on the Northern Agincourt Reefs.

Poseidon has access to more than 45 locations at 16 different reefs. With travel on Poseidon taking just over an hour, many of these reef sites are out of the range of other one-day dive boats.

This reef trip caters for snorkellers, introductory & certified scuba divers. Passenger numbers are limited to ensure personalised service and individual attention.

The vessel features a large air-conditioned main saloon, a spacious top sun deck and wheelhouse salon, and a purpose built rear deck with a lowering transom which makes access to and from the water extremely easy and un-crowded.

Agincourt's, Ribbon Reefs is spectacular for divers and snorkellers. Situated 70kl North East of Port Douglas, it offers some excellent diving and snorkelling, with equally excellent visibility, beautiful corals and incredible fish life. Three dive sites are chosen each day according to tidal and weather conditions.

Scuba Divers are offered 3 dives per day at 3 different locations. The highly qualified PADI Instructors and guides will show you the adventure of a lifetime!

View isolated pinnacles surrounded by Pelagic fish, and coral gardens with their endless variety of colourful wrasses, cods, parrot fish, angel fish, clams and anemones. There are also plenty of lagoons, as well as drop offs making it exciting for drift and wall dives.

To make the most of your dives, Poseidon provide dive computers and large tanks which allow more time underwater.

Snorkelling is a fun and safe activity and is a great way to experience the Great Barrier Reef without any limitations of depth or time.

You can enjoy unrestricted exploration of shallow lagoons, spectacular drop offs and an unbelievable variety of fragile corals and colourful fish life. Beginner Snorkellers are provided with flotation devices and given personal in-water assistance by the experienced guides.

A well researched and informative talk on the biology and history of the reef is followed by a guided snorkel tour where the wonders of the coral reefs are explained and identified.

An Introductory Dive on the Great Barrier Reef is often the highlight of a visitor's holiday in Australia.

No experience is necessary to enjoy the thrill of scuba diving under the safe control and supervision of a highly qualified PADI Dive Instructor.

Introductory divers can enjoy up to 3 dives at 3 different sites in small personal groups of 4 people per instructor. Children 12 years and over can also enjoy this experience.
