Calypso Reef Cruises has set itself a class above the rest. Family owned and run, Calypso is designed to hold 110 guests however only travels with approximately 70 to ensure maximum comfort.

Guests are in awe as they take time to relax on the top deck sunlounges that provide breathtaking 360 degree views of the Great Barrier Reef. The nine metre wide back deck provides plenty of room, comfort and ease as you enter the water, and the large, spacious upper and lower foredecks have been designed with comfortable day bed seating for relaxation.

Calypso caters for snorkellers, introductory divers and dive enthusiasts. Visiting three breathtaking sites daily from Port Douglas, Calypso will provide you with an experience of a lifetime. Learn about the marine life and eco-systems through our reef interpretive chat on board or take part in a guided snorkelling tour and surround yourself by the rainbow of brilliantly coloured fish and coral.

Crew will assist any nervous swimmers and swimmers who have never snorkelled before, to ensure that they are happy and comfortable in the water. Flotation devices and in water assistance are also provided.

The snorkel groups are small and personalised. The crew will take you on an informative guided snorkeling tour and explain, as well as, answer questions about the Great Barrier Reef and it's many inhabitants.

All diving is guided by qualified Dive Masters/Instructors and in small groups with a maximum of 8 divers for Certified Diving and 4 divers for Introductory Diving. Calypso caters for all levels of experience, the dive gear includes dive computers and large tanks.
