You will fall in love with Santa Maria as you experience her character. 

A Cairns icon she is designed after the gaff rigged schooners built in the 1800's and made of solid hard wood using modern technology.  She has ample deck space for sunbathing and relaxing.  Her beautiful lines will give you the unique feeling of nostalgia, adventure and romance.  The overall package this boats provides ensures that you will form memories that last a lifetime.

Passengers numbers are limited to ten max, so you can experience personalised attention, relax and enjoy the experience at your own pace. Join in and help sail the boat or just 'supervise' from the sundeck.  

The accommodation includes a private cabin with a double bed.  The salon has 5 single beds, and the front cabin has one single and two double beds.  Each of the beds in the shared cabin has a curtain for privacy.

Santa Maria departs every Monday and Friday from the Marlin Jetty 'D' finger for a 3 Day/2 Night cruise. Boarding commences at 8:00am and returning into Cairns at 5pm on the last day.

Itinerary:

Day One:

• Arrive on board and enjoy a light breakfast.
• Depart for the Great Barrier Reef 
• Morning tea will be served while sailing to your first reef location.
• Arrive at the Reef - Time for snorkelling, diving and lunch.
• Afternoon Tea - A break between activities.
• Dinner - Relax while the evening dinner is served on deck with the reef and sunset in the background.

Day Two:

• Wake up on the reef and enjoy a morning swim, snorkel or dive.
• Depart for the next reef location.
• Full breakfast is served and then resume snorkeling, diving or lazing around the deck.
• Move to another reef, lunch is served. 
• Afternoon Tea - A small snack to enjoy between activities.
• Dinner - Enjoy another fantastic meal with a sunset and reef setting.

Day Three:

• Wake up on the reef and enjoy a morning swim - snorkel or dive.
• Depart for the next reef location.
• Full breakfast is served and then resume water activities.
• Lunch is Served.
• Depart for Cairns - 'Hoist the Sails' and join in the sailing as you head back to Cairns from the reef

Introductory & Certified Diving is available, as well as advanced and specialised courses.

For the beginner or diver that needs a refresher, the smaller groups provide a fun setting where the utmost attention is paid to your safety and ensuring that you get the most value and enjoyment from your experience. If you are a more advanced diver you’ll be able to explore and discover the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef without a large number of other divers surrounding you.  The scuba instructors can plan the dive to suit your level of comfort and style of dive.

For certified divers there is the option for drift dives, swim-throughs, as well as following ravines and canyons.
