The M.V. Norseman is a brand new vessel specialising in 'reef fishing' for all of the top quality table fish found on the Great Barrier Reef.

With state of the art GPS's and sounders and countless secret fishing locations dotted all over the local reefs, their fishing adventures are varied and different each time. In a typical day you can be fishing for Nannygai and Trevally in the shipping channel, to deep water bommie fishing for Mangrove Jack in the paddocks, to fishing for coral trout in the shallows.

The crew's commitment to finding the fish for their angling clients is excellent.

Norseman supply lunch, morning and afternoon tea which is a welcome treat in between tackling some serious denizens of the deep.

Rods and handlines are offered and floating mackerel rigs are always set up so the passengers can also dabble in some screaming pelagic action between their bottom fishing

Catches can include Giant Trevally, Large Mouth Nannygai, Red Emperor, Spanish Mackerel, Mangrove Jack, Gold Spotted Cod, Black Cobia, Spangled Emperor, Coral Trout and many others. Many a hot session has seen 30-40 fish taken in a 15 minute period and the scene is absolute mayhem but will be the best you'll ever witness.

As well as fishing locally, the M.V. Norseman can also do charter work well north or south of Port Douglas.
