Referral Courses can be taken with Deep Sea Divers Den if you have completed your pool and theory dive training at home at your local dive shop.

Once you come to Australia you can then finish your training dives aboard Liveaboard dive vessels or day dive vessels. This is a great option if you don't want to spend two days of your holiday with pool and classroom training.

The PADI referral system enables you to complete your PADI Open Water Dive Course in Cairns.

The system works as follows:-

When you have completed the Academic training and Confined Water training portions of the PADI Open Water Course, ask your instructor for the following documents:

• PADI Referral form (less than 12 months old)
• Copy of your completed PADI Medical Questionnaire
• Medical Certificate stating you are fit to dive
• Medical Certificate must be less than 90 days old and to Australian Standard AS4005.1.

You can choose from one of the following options for your Open Water Training:-

4 Days / 3 Nights Liveaboard Referral:
13 Dives (4 OW training dives and 5 AOW training dives and 4 pleasure dives, including a guided night dive)
3 Nights accommodation onboard OceanQuest, all meals included

3 Days / 2 Nights Liveaboard Referral:
9 Dives (4 training dives and 5 pleasure dives, including a guided night dive)
2 Nights accommodation onboard OceanQuest, all meals included

2 Days / 1 Night Liveaboard Referral:
4 Training Dives, 1 Fun Dive (time permitting); (no opportunity for night dive)
1 Night accommodation onboard OceanQuest, all meals included

2 Day Trip Budget Referral on ReefQuest:
4 Training Dives; (2 dives each day); 2 separate one-day trips on ReefQuest.
Lunch included

Referral to complete training dives 1 & 2 only OR 3 & 4 only:
2 Training Dives (dives 1 & 2) on ReefQuest
2 Training Dives (dives 3 & 4 and certification) on ReefQuest

2 Day Pool & Theory Referral:
2 Days training in classroom and pool, including final exam theory and PADI Referral document. (No meals or accommodation included)

For all trips, city pick-up transfers are included (Northern Beaches can be arranged).

Please Note:
Accommodation on OceanQuest is based on either Twin Share or Double Cabins. These private cabins contain two full size single beds or one queensize bed, private en-suite, air-conditioning TV and intercom. Price is based on double occupancy. To have sole occupancy in either a Twin share OR Double room, you will need to pay for both spots.

According to the recommendation of the Australian Code of Practice for Recreational Diving and Snorkelling, all divers are to undergo a medical examination according to Australian Standard AS4005.1, conducted by a doctor with training in hyperbaric medicine. Medical statements MUST be less than 90 days old.
