DAY ONE: Check in to Mercure Harbourside Hotel Cairns

Mercure Harbourside Cairns is located on the Cairns Esplanade and is a leisurely 20 minute stroll into town. The Hotel also runs free shuttle transfers to and from the city every hour.

DAY TWO: Outer Great Barrier Reef Day Tour including Intro Dive OR Guided Snorkel Tour OR Certified Dive

REEF EXPERIENCE INCLUSIONS:

•  6 hours at 2 different outer Great Barrier Reef locations. It is the Captain's decision which of the spectacular Outer Barrier Reef Locations your visit, two choices being Norman, Saxon, Hastings and Breaking Patches.
•  Tropical buffet lunch - cold meats, healthy salads, tasty pastas & fresh fruit.
•  Snorkel equipment & instruction.
•  Marine Biologist presentation.
•  Free scuba diving demonstration & scuba dive instruction.

ITINERARY: 
• 7.00am - Pickup at Mercure Harbourside
• 7:30am - Board at Marlin Jetty near Reef Fleet Terminal - BBQ breakfast and a selection of fresh tropical fruit, coffee or tea.
• 7.45-8am - Departure from Marlin Jetty and commence Reef video presentation, Snorkel & Scuba Dive procedures, Reef Safety orientation.
• 9:30am - Arrival at first reef destination. 
• 11:00am - Glass bottom boat tour.
• 12:30pm - Lunch
• 13.00pm - Cruise to 2nd location
• 13:30pm - Arrive new location
• 15:30pm - Depart Reef for Cairns. Cheese & Biscuits and Tropical fruit served Trivia games twister etc or relax and enjoy the trip back to Cairns.
• 16:30pm - Arrive Cairns

Hastings Reef - Famous for tame reef sharks, giant wrasse, huge cod, inquisitive moray eels and giant clam gardens.
Norman Reef - On the pristine and dramatic outer edge
Saxon Reef - An underwater paradise brimming with marine life
Breaking Patches - renowned for it's forest staghorn coral, large sea fans & black coral trees, yielding some 400 species of coral, & a vertical wall teaming with marine life. Introductory & Certified Scuba Diving, Snorkelling.

* Locations may change due to weather conditions.
* Some Medical conditions and or medication may stop you from participating in Scuba Diving these include Asthma or wheezing. Brain spinal cord or nervous disorder, chronic bronchitis or persistent chest complaint, chronic sinus, collapsed lung, diabetes mellitis, chest surgery, Epilepsy, Fainting, Seizure or blackouts, Heart Disease of any kind, recurrent ear problems when flying, tuberculosis or other long-term lung disease and High blood pressure. If you are unsure of any medications or medical conditions please consult your Doctor - The Australian standard is Dive Medical A4005.1

DAY THREE: Hot air Ballooning & Kuranda Skyrail & Train

Today you have an early start. Be ready for a 5.00am Pickup from Mercure Harbourside by Hot Air. Included in the package is a 30 minute scenic balloon flight, Skyrail and Kuranda Train with plenty of time to explore Kuranda markets and other attractions.

Itinerary:
5:00am - Pick-up at your accommodation by a Hot Air coach. There's a one hour transfer via the Kuranda Range to Mareeba in the Cairns Highlands. Pickup times are confirmed on booking.

6.30am - Experience the fun & unique sensation of a hot air balloon ride over the Atherton Tablelands. Enjoy the picturesque landscape at sunrise. Breathe in the wide-open spaces!

7:50am - Return and Landing, Hot Air Balloon pack-up games and lots of laughs.
 
9:00am - Your Hot Air Balloon tour driver will drop you off to Skyrail Caravonica Station and your travel with them is booked for this time.
It will take 1.5 hours to travel to Kuranda, allowing for the 2 stops at Red Peak and Barron Falls Station.

11:30am - Arrive in Kuranda, the village in the rainforest for free time to go shopping and sightseeing. Check out the Kuranda Markets.

3:15pm - Board the Kuranda Scenic Railway at Kuranda Station. Train departs at 3.30pm. (2.00pm Train available by request) The Train will stop at Barron Falls for some time to enjoy the view. In total will take about 2 hours.

5:00pm - Arrive at historic Freshwater Station for your shuttle bus return to your accommodation. Please ask one of the friendly bus drivers at the station. (earlier departure if travelling on the earlier train).

Children 0-3 years of age are not permitted to fly. Child rate 4-14 years inclusive
