The Fitzroy Island Reef & Island Fun Package offers a magical Tropical Rainforest island experience combined with a daytrip to the Outer Barrier Reef with Sunlover Cruises.

The Fitzroy Island Reef and Island Fun package includes:-

Snorkelling: At the pontoon you can explore the reef by yourself, under the watchful eyes of the trained lifeguards. If you have never snorkelled before or need a refresher make sure you listen to the snorkelling demonstration presented on the lower deck.

Snorkelling Equipment: All snorkelling equipment is included in the day. It is recommend to use a buoyancy vest, snorkel with a partner and remain in the designated area at all times. Guided snorkel tours are also available.

Reef Presentation: Enjoy morning tea and coffee during your cruise to the reef whilst learning about the wonders the Great Barrier Reef has to offer. Sunlovers Specialised Reef Naturalists will present an informative talk, which is a great opportunity for you to learn about what you are about to see.

FREE Semi submersible / Glass bottom boat tours: If you prefer a reef experience without getting wet, Sunlover offers both the semi-submersible and glass bottom boat tours. These tours depart every 20 minutes from the back of the pontoon.

Touch Tank: The touch tank introduces you to some of the unique creatures of the reef.

Fish Feeding: Before leaving the reef each day, there will be a fish feed conducted from the back of the pontoon. The result is an amazing spectacle that you can view either from the deck or the underwater observatory. This feed is done in accordance with strict Marine Park guidelines.

Children’s Pool: Small children can also enjoy the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef in the safety of an enclosed pool area. Fish can swim inside the enclosure for a true reef experience.

Lunch: A hot and cold buffet lunch will be served at 12.30pm at the pontoon. This delicious smorgasbord features fresh seafood, hot dishes, salads and tropical fruits.

Depart 10:15am and arrive 4:30pm

Day Three: At leisure to explore the island
Fitzroy Island is covered with magnificent rainforest and features many walking tracks ranging from a short stroll to Nudey Beach through to a more challenging hike to the Summit. The island is surrounded by beautiful fringing reefs which are teeming with marine life. The best snorkelling is off the rocks between Welcome Bay and Nudey Beach. Expect to see Turtles, tropical fish and many colourful corals. There is a beach hire hut that is open through-out the day where you are able to hire sea kayaks, snorkelling equipment etc.

Day Four: At leisure to explore the island

Ferry departs at 4:40 pm for your transfer back to Cairns. Arriving into Cairns at 5:30pm.
