Glass Bottom Boat

Updated: 09-Feb-2007

Coral viewing is so easy with a glass bottom boat tour. Ideal for those who want to experience the reef without getting wet!

A glass bottom boat is a boat with sections of glass (or other suitable transparent material) below the waterline allowing passengers to observe the underwater environment from within the boat.

Glass bottom boats are used exclusively for giving tours, as they are designed to allow the maximum number of tourists to view the glass bottom ensuring a maximum coral viewing experience from all seats.

Glass bottom boat tours depart regularly throughout the day for coral & marine life viewing.

An informative commentary will be conducted to point out the corals, the many brightly coloured tropical fish, magnificent giant clams and of course Nemo! to the passengers.

Tours from Green Island Jetty and from the outer reef pontoons feature an easy access ramp allowing safe, dry and easy embarking.
